"Quantum" phenomenon have become a mainstay of science fiction since the field's development in the early 20th century. However, the term is frequently used very loosely giving many viewers a highly distorted view of what quantum mechanics truly is. This misunderstanding is enhanced by pseudoscientists like Deepak Chopra and films like "What the #$*! Do We Know!?".
This talk explores what the field of quantum mechanics really is, where its limitations lie, and how far off popular depictions are.
